DP4 Artificial reverb
Real-time digital reverb on the AVR128DB48: one difference equation with a ring buffer, fixed-point arithmetic and a 30 µs sampling time.
Result
- The requirement was a reverberation time of 0.8 s. Measured time was 0.78 s with a = 0.4 and 0.81 s with a = 0.7.
- The signal processing runs in an interrupt routine with integer arithmetic to meet the real-time requirement.
- The theoretical impulse response was calculated in Python and compared with oscilloscope measurements.
